① Starting Point: Takayama Nobi Bus Terminal
It is strongly recommended to depart early in the morning to fully enjoy the whole course.

② Explore Shirakawa-go
Arrive in Shirakawa-go, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses. Take time to stroll around the charming village and immerse yourself in its unique architecture and history.

Transportation: Shuttle Bus (Approx. 6 minutes or 20 minutes)
③ Ogimachi Castle Observation Deck (Shiroyama Viewpoint)
Head up to the Ogimachi Castle Observation Deck for a panoramic view of the entire Shirakawa-go village. It’s the perfect spot to capture stunning photos of the gassho-zukuri houses against a beautiful natural backdrop.

④ Shirakawa-go Bus Terminal
After enjoying the sights, return to the Shirakawa-go Bus Terminal to catch your bus back to Takayama.

⑤ Takayama Hida Bus Center and Walk Around the Old City “Sanmachi Dori”
Once back in Takayama, take a stroll through the old streets of Hida Takayama. The area is known for its well-preserved Edo-period streets, traditional wooden houses, and charming atmosphere.

⑥ Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall (Takayama Matsuri Yatai Kaikan)
Visit the Takayama Festival Floats Exhibition Hall to admire the lavishly decorated festival floats used during the famous Takayama Matsuri. It’s a great way to get a sense of the town’s rich festival culture.

From Takayama Jinya, walk to JR Takayama Station to board your train to the next destination.
